As an Open and Affirming (ONA) church through the United Church of Christ (UCC), we “make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.”

For many years, Spirit of Peace has participated in Sioux Falls Pride activities. Our Social Action Ministry Team also organizes opportunities throughout the year for our community, whether it be collecting gifts and funds for organizations who serve the LGBTQ2S+ community, movies and discussion events on social justice topics, books in our Social Awareness Library, or participation in rallies and protests in our community.
